Masai Ujiri is a man of the people. Ever since the Raps’ executive took the helm and promptly won his way into fan’s hearts by exclaiming “F*** Brooklyn” to the crowd gathered out front of the Air Canada Centre, he has continued to drop great sound bites; whether they are fun, motivational, strategic, or all of the above. His cool demeanor that seems bigger than basketball contributes to many Raptors’ fans loving him.
On Thursday, he issued another statement that will help to win over the few Raps’ fans that don’t already love him. Most Raptors home games start at 7pm, and sometimes even 8pm, but Thursday’s Game 2 matchup against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers has an early start time, clocking in at 6pm. In response, Masai has a special request for Canadian employers.
